Notice on Promoting Typical Cases of Grain-Saving Practices in the Livestock Industry

To the agricultural development service stations (including agricultural technology extension, agro‑pastoral technology extension, and animal husbandry and aquaculture), livestock stations (covering forage and feed, feed, forage‑feed, and grassland technology), and their respective centers in all provinces, autonomous regions, municipalities directly under the central government, and cities separately listed in the national plan, as well as to the General Station for Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Work of the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps:
To implement the requirements of the “Opinions of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs on Launching the Feed‑Saving Initiative in Animal Husbandry” and the “Implementation Plan for the Feed‑Saving Initiative in Animal Husbandry,” and to intensify the promotion of feed‑saving technologies in the sector while leveraging the demonstration effect of leading examples, our station has selected the first batch of seven exemplary cases of feed conservation in animal husbandry. These cases cover major livestock and poultry species and systematically integrate key feed‑saving technologies, including the diversified utilization of non‑grain feed resources, the formulation of precision‑nutrition, low‑protein diets, precise feeding practices, and smart farm management. By fully harnessing technological synergy and systemic efficiency gains, these cases are highly representative and offer significant practical guidance. The list of exemplary cases is hereby circulated (see attachment), and detailed information will be simultaneously published on the China Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Information Network.
All localities are requested to, in light of their specific circumstances, publicize and promote exemplary cases and best practices, guide feed producers and livestock farmers to learn from and adopt these approaches, continuously enhance technologies for saving grain and reducing resource consumption, and drive improvements in the quality and efficiency of the animal husbandry sector.
